Our Story

"When my son was three, we ended up unexpectedly spending four days at Dayton Children's. A middle school group donated a stuffed monkey that was given to my son. He held it tightly during blood draws, and for the next two years. Help us 'Pay it Forward' and have the fun of building a bear and the joy of giving to someone that will unexpectedly spend the holidays in the hospital". - Jennifer H. The first year that this event happened, we invited some family and friends and stuffed 12 bears. This continued to grow through the years. In 2013, the Beavercreek D.A.R.E. program helped spread the word and it began to grow even more. Each year we strive to donate more bears than the last and we couldn't do it without our amazing community! Special thanks to Hollywood Gaming at Dayton Raceway, Beavercreek PD, Beavercreek City Schools, and everyone else that continuously helps us reach our goal! |

Our President and Event Coordinator, Callista Neff (formerly Callista Hess), received the Outstanding Youth in Philanthropy 2023 award from the Greater Dayton chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals.
