This year's event will take place between Thanksgiving and
December 23rd!
We have many options for taking part in this event to ensure that everyone is comfortable while giving back. Check out the different ways to be involved!
In-Person Donations & Event Days:
There will be a four week time frame where the donations may be left at Build-a-Bear at the Mall at Fairfield Commons, just like during our 2022 event. We will also have event days this year! Join the Hess Family and other volunteers on December 20th, anytime from 4 until 8 p.m. or attend on December 23rd, anytime from 8 until 11 a.m. Delivery of all of the bears will follow the December 23rd event.
The four week time frame where anyone is welcome to purchase and stuff their bears will take place between Thanksgiving and December 22. You can visit Build-a-Bear at The Mall At Fairfield Commons, purchase and stuff your bear(s), and leave them there for us to load up with the rest of the donations. There will be a holiday card for you to sign for each bear at checkout as well.
Online & Other Donations
There is also an option to donate your bear(s) online!
You can do this by visiting www.buildabear.com and purchasing your bear(s) there for our team to pick up in the store for you. Follow these steps:
Donate non-denominational holiday cards that will be signed and go with each donation!
You or a group may SPONSOR a bear by donating Build-A-Bear gift cards, and other forms of monetary donations (cash, checks, etc). Contact us via email, phone, or social media to donate holiday cards or make a monetary donation!

There is also an option to donate your bear(s) online!
You can do this by visiting www.buildabear.com and purchasing your bear(s) there for our team to pick up in the store for you. Follow these steps:
- At check out, under “Delivery”, choose the “Pick Up” option, and then “Select Store” and select The Mall At Fairfield Commons as the store. (not all online products will be available for in-store pick up)
- Then list bears4childrens@gmail.com as the email, “Bears4Children’s” as the First Name, your name or family name as the Last Name, and then list either your phone number or ours (937-971-8051). Then proceed to check out like normal!
- Listing our email and organization name will allow us to keep track of orders and will let store employees know that the order is a part of the Bears4Children’s donations. Listing your name/family name will allow us to know who to thank and sign a card that will go with the stuffed animal(s)!
